Texas Parent-Taught Driver Education · Pilot
Metutela records each supervised drive automatically, sorts it into the Texas PTDE categories, and explains how your teen drove: not just what happened, but why.
The Texas requirement
Texas PTDE learners complete 44 hours of supervised driving. Today most families track them on paper. Metutela fills in the log as you drive, one hour at a time.

How it works
Fill in the form below. We text you a private link to install the app.

After every drive
Most driving apps list events: a hard brake here, a burst of speed there. Metutela explains the pattern behind them, so the conversation after the drive is about habits, not blame.
Join the pilot
The Metutela PTDE pilot is open to Texas families with a learner in the Parent-Taught Driver Education program. Sign up first as the supervising parent; you'll add your learner from inside the app.
During the pilot, Metutela is delivered through FleetSafer, our technology partner's app. Your invitation link installs it, and the screens inside it are Metutela's. When the standalone Metutela app is released, we'll let you know before you need to switch.
We've sent an install link by text to and by email to .
Open the link on your phone, install the app, then open it. It will set itself up, and you can add your learner from there.
